Weekend Heavy Metal: Bison b.c., Isis, Judas Priest
This is being written from a hotel room, just about 10 miles from the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Our ears are still ringing from last night, and the coffee is still kicking in, but we’re getting ready for day number two. Follow along on the Noisecreep Twitter, and check out our friends’ updates, too: Metal Injection, Metal Sucks, and Metal Insider. Lots of metal!
And in case you missed some of our posts from this week, here’s a list of some links to bring you up to speed.
+ We got photos from the Revolver Golden Gods awards, with quotes from Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, and host Brian Posehn.
+ Rob Halford of Judas Priest talked to us about their summer tour.
+ Since we didn’t think Dallas would leave God Forbid, here’s our seven metal departures we never saw coming.
+ James Farwell of Bison b.c. talks about an expensive coffee break while on tour.
+ We got an exclusive video of Lips from Anvil rocking out with his cigarette guitar amp.
+ Geoff Tate of Queensryche told us about his daughters’ contribution to their latest album.
+ Unearth guitarist Ken Susi knows how to rock the kids music.
+ Aaron Turner of Isis talks to us about hipster metal.
