Black Veil Brides vocalist Andy Biersack currently captures the eye of viewers onstage with his band, but long before the music career took off, the singer went to an arts school in his native Cincinnati that encouraged him to pursue acting. The vocalist previously reflected on the experience in our 'Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?' feature, seen below, and now one of his old commercials from his teen years has turned up online.

Biersack can be seen and heard as the central character in a 30-second ad for the Montana Meth Project. In the clip above, Biersack's character is shown wishing for a beatdown in an abandoned parking lot as he feels that the fate would have been a better alternative than having gone to a party where he first tried methamphetamine and gotten hooked. Watch the video titled "Jumped" above.

As stated, Biersack recalled how his acting past came to be in our 'Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?' feature. The vocalist attended a well-respected arts school in Cincinnati and was a drama major, taking part in a lot of plays. "They wound up sending a lot of national agents to the school to scout kids to see if there was any interest … so I had had a few different agencies contact my family," said Biersack, who added that one agency felt that if he made the trip to Los Angeles, he stood a good chance of getting cast for some roles.

He worked it out with the art school where he was allowed to go to Los Angeles for a month and a half and see what transpired. Biersack recalls, "I did get some acting work. I did some commercials, I did a pilot and a bunch of different stuff, but then it came time for me to go back home to Cincinnati. It was like, 'Okay, see you later.' We couldn't afford to stay."

Looking back on the experience, he adds, "It wasn't like I was going to be an actor. It was just something that was fun for me." Luckily for Black Veil Brides fans, it wasn't long after returning to Cincinnati that he put together the earliest incarnation of what would eventually become the band that fans now know and love.
