Hamburg, Germany's Remedy Records is putting together a tribute album for legendarily controversial L.A. metal band W.A.S.P. Set for an early 2010 release, the tentative tribute is entitled 'The Crimson Covers' and will feature re-worked versions of the Sunset Strip band's cuts 'Wild Child,' 'Animal (F--- Like a Beast),' 'L.O.V.E. Machine' and many more.

The limited edition, two-disc set of W.A.S.P classics will be performed by many European artists like Denmark's Adorned Brood and Warhead, Sweden's 5th Sonic Brigade, and Finland's Burning Point.

In other W.A.S.P. news, the band has announced plans for a U.S. tour in February 2010. Exact dates and venues have yet to be confirmed, but W.A.S.P will be hitting the road in support of their latest album, 'Babylon' released on Oct. 12. The album marks the band's 15th full-length and landed in the top 20 of the U.K. Rock Albums Chart.
