Thought I heard walkie talkies / Must've been them redneck neighbors of mine / They f*ckin' with they CB / And we in the spot watchin' C.O.P.S. on TV

War From a Harlots Mouth (no apostrophe) want you to kill your television. The title track from the band's sophomore offering, 'In Shoals,' decries the widespread overuse of the boob-tube. This is certainly not an untouched topic by artists, but the reference to one of two television shows with which I'm familiar.

The lyrics printed C.O.P.S. as above: as an acronym. 'C.O.P.S.' is different than COPS, as the former was the aforementoned animated show from the late eighties that I recall quite fondly, and the latter is the Fox Network's long-running police-trailing reality show. Given the context of the song I'm assuming it's the Fox show, but I'm holding out hope that they know of Bulletproof, Barricade and the rest of the Central Organization of Police Specialists.
