The summer is heating up and so is the hard rock and metal release schedule. There's a little something for everyone over the four big August release dates, so without further adieu, let's take a look and see what's coming up.

The first release date of August comes on August 5, with Godsmack's '1000hp,' the self-titled new album from Wovenwar, a self-titled solo disc from Vista Chino's John Garcia and a pair of '80s rock heroes -- Kix ('Rock Your Face Off') and Skid Row ('Rise of the Damnation Army: United World Rebellion Chapter 2') leading the way. Alestorm, Belphegor, Capture the Crown, The Dead Daisies, Eluveitie, Entombed A.D. and Natchmystium also have discs arriving on the 5th as well.

In a rather light release week on Aug. 12, Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 drops his 'Careful With That Axe' solo album, Upon a Burning Body unleash their 'World Is My Enemy Now' disc, Evil United offer 'Honored By Fire' and newcomers Heartist arrive with 'Feeding Fiction.' August 19 gives us new releases from Accept ('Blind Rage'), Buckcherry ('F#CK'), DragonForce ('Maximum Overload'), Ace Frehley ('Space Invader') and the country tribute to Motley Crue called 'Nashville Outlaws.' There's also albums from Big Engine, Halcyon Way, He Is Legend, King 810 and Pallbearer. Finishing out the month on Aug. 26 are new discs from Opeth ('Pale Communion'), Royal Blood ('Royal Blood') and Thousand Foot Krutch ('OXYGEN: INHALE').

There's a lot of new releases worthy of your dollar, but we want to know which of these you're most interested in picking up.
