Volbeat's fans turned out en masse during the voting period for Noisecreep's recent first annual Creepies Awards, and the band's frontman Michael Poulsen has chimed in to show the group's appreciation for being named the only double winner of the award ceremony.

Volbeat took home the Album of the Year honor for their 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies' disc, earning just shy of 30 percent of the final voting tally. It was an impressive feat considering the category also featured stellar discs from Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains. The band also scored a victory in the Artist of the Year category, where they earned nearly 30 percent of the vote as well.

After learning of their victories, Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen shared, "It is an honor to acknowledged by Noisecreep for both Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. The fact that the Creepies are determined by those that fill the venues, buy our records and support rock music makes this very meaningful to the band. Thank you to each and every fan who took the time to cast a vote."

Volbeat are currently touring Europe, where they'll remain for a good portion of the summer, but fans can catch them co-headlining one of the top tours of the fall as they travel North America with Five Finger Death Punch. Hellyeah and Nothing More will also be along for the run, with dates set to kick off Sept. 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah. See the stops for the tour at this location.
