Oft legally troubled Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil has accepted a misdemeanor plea deal and will therefore avoid a trial over an altercation he engaged in with an ex-girlfriend in Las Vegas.

Even though Neil initially denied the charges of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct for shouting and poking TV reporter Alicia Jacobs, the plea deal prevents things from getting very messy and very public in the courts.

The incident unfolded at the Las Vegas Hilton in March of this year and Neil was set to stand trial in August, but it was postponed upon his request. Now it's being resolved outside of a trial and jury.

As a result, Neil will plead guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, which is a misdemeanor, and he will fork over a $1000 fine. The battery charge will be dropped, so says the Las Vegas Review Journal. Neil also apologized, via his lawyer, for raising his voice. Case closed.
