When it was recently announced that A389 Recordings that had signed a band called Noisem (formerly known as Necropsy), Noisecreep knew we had to check them out.

It's a good thing we did.

The Baltimore-based quintet weave a nasty combination of raw '80s thrash and early '90s flavored death metal that reminds this listener of greats like Pestilence, Cannibal Corpse and Possessed. A389 will be issuing Noisem's debut album, Agony Defined, sometime this spring.

A fixture on the metal and grind circuit, Noisecreep asked Noisem to send us a list of 10 underground bands we should all keep our eyes out for. But before you do that, check out a new track from the band called "Severed" that appears on the free A389 MMXIII digital mixtape, streaming below.
