Twisted Sister Sue Food Truck, Underoath Premiere Track + More News

Kayos Productions

Twisted Sister are suing the owners of the Twisted Sister House of Hunger truck in Minneapolis. Via its attorney, the Dee Snider fronted band issued a cease-and-desist letter to the truck operators, asking them to change their name because it could cause confusion between the customers and the fans.

Right, because when we think sandwich truck, we think “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

The owners, for their part, aren’t going quietly. They said, “I don’t know how somebody can get a 20-foot aluminum box mixed up with an ’80s rock band. We never refer to ourselves just solely as Twisted Sister. We are in the food industry, not the entertainment industry.”

They do have a point there…[VH1 Classic Radio]

Underoath are breaking up, and we even spoke exclusively with frontman Spencer Chamberlain about the split. Now, the band has shared one of their final new songs, “Sunburnt.” It is by no means filler or a throwaway track. In fact, the Florida-based metalcore band wanted to go out with a bang and by releasing its best songs last. Take a listen and tell us if you love it and think they’ve succeeded.

Also, the band will embark on its farewell tour in January of next year, hitting a handful of cities. Chamberlain plans to continue on with music and will announce his future plans once that tour and all Underoath business wraps. [Billboard]

Rowdy rockers Buckcherry have a new label home. They will release Confessions via Century Media in early 2013. New tracks will be unveiled shortly, so now you have something to look forward to from the raucous rock band.

“The time has come to finally announce the release of our sixth LP, Confessions,” said Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. “This is our coolest album yet and I think a lot of people will relate, if you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story – join the revolution and let’s rock!” Viva la Buckcherry.
