It may be considered blasphemous, or at least the commission of a mortal sin, to bastardize the crooner classics of Ol' Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra, but a clutch of hard rock and metal bands are doing just that on 'SIN-Atra,' a new comp of Sinatra covers due out on March 29th. Noisecreep will be premiering 'Strangers in the Night,' sung by Anthrax's recently returned vocalist Joey Belladonna on March 9. Get ready!

'SIN-Atra' will feature 12 cherished Sinatra standards electrified with the heavy metal and hard rock treatment that you'll just have to hear to believe. Strapping Young Lad metallicizes 'New York, New York,' while Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame turns in a hellion version of 'It Was a Very Good Year.'The disc was executive produced by Wendy Dio, the widow of the late, great, much-missed Ronnie James Dio. Man, how awesome would it have been to hear Dio offer his take on a timeless Sinatra classic?
