Trivium Are ‘Thrown Into the Fire’ of Shredding in New Video

Not every video needs a million dollars and a high concept to successfully capture the feeling of a song. Take for example, Trivium‘s “Thrown Into the Fire,” off their recently released album The Sin and the Sentence

We’re sure Trivium could put together a cool adaptation of the song into a narrative focused visual. But really, when you listen to Trivium you kind of just want to hear the band shred, which is exactly what the video promises. The four-piece play against a backdrop featuring a rotating field of elements, including fire, storms and more. Singer Matt Heafy tears into his vocals and his guitar, allowing their metal to glide over a host of different genres into one beast.

If you want to see all this in person (minus the fires and localized storm systems, we hope) Trivium are heading out on their fall co-headlining North American tour starting tomorrow (Oct. 27). They’ll be gigging alongside Arch Enemy, with support from While She Sleeps and Fit for an Autopsy.

Of the tour, Trivium state, “We’ve been joining forces with Arch Enemy for over a decade now. From Ozzfest 2005, through arenas across the U.K., Europe, and Australia on The Black Crusade. This next chapter is going to be one for the ages: Trivium, Arch Enemy, While She Sleeps and Fit for an Autopsy!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!”

Don’t miss the “Thrown Into the Fire” video either. It’s featured in the player above, and see the band’s tour dates right here.
