Trivium frontman Matt Heafy has left the band's current North American headlining tour to be at home with his wife who is pregnant with twins. He released a video statement, which you can watch below. Fill-ins will include former Killswitch Engage vocalist and current Light the Torch frontman Howard Jones, YouTuber Jared Dines and Avatar frontman Johannes Eckerström.

"I just had to fly back unexpectedly home to Orlando," he explained. "As you know, my wife and I are expecting twins, and as you also know [with] pregnancy, there are no definitive answers on when things are happening. Especially when it's two."

He continued, "It's very weird for me to be on the best North American tour of my career, and then to have to fly home. The plan was obviously to do the entire thing, but thankfully Howard Jones, Jared Dines and Johannes [Eckerström] are all working together with Paulo, Corey and Alex to make the set happening."

The band will perform as scheduled tonight in Edmonton, Canada. The tour wraps up in a few days on Nov. 3 in Berkeley, California.
