Tool’s Danny Carey will be the latest guest drummer on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Starting the week of Sept. 26, Danny will act as the anchor for the 8G Band.

Late Night has welcomed a litany of great rock drummers in 2016, including Mastodon’s Brann Dailor, Primus’ Tim Alexander and Against Me!’s Atom Willard. The 8G Band kit may not be able to handle the percussion colossus that is Danny Carey, but we’ll soon find out starting next week.

Tool announced Danny’s week-long residency on late night television via Facebook:

And no, we don’t know when Tool’s new album is coming out. The band’s webmaster recently assured fans that Tool’s instrument section has been grinding away four days a week on new material and bassist Justin Chancellor promised the final product will be "awesome," though he chose not to speak in detail on the record’s progress.

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35AM PT/ 11:35AM CT on NBC, so tune in the week of Sept. 26 to see Danny Carey perform. Tool will embark on a three-date mini tour in the U.S. in October. Click here for the list of dates.
