When 'Winter Hours' first hit shelves back in 2009, Noisecreep spoke with Tombs frontman Mike Hill about being a "true metal lifer." Résumé aside, that fact can't be denied simply because of the non-stop touring the Brooklyn, N.Y. three-piece does, if nothing else.

Fresh off an opening slot on the farewell Isis tour and dates with Eyehategod, Tombs are taking to the East Coast and touching the Midwest with Germany's Planks sharing the stage, beginning Aug. 12.

This will be the first time the two bands have toured together in the States. Previously, they toured Europe in support of a split 12-inch (Black Box Recordings). Tour ends on Aug. 23 on a shared date with the almighty Goatwhore.
