Metal Band Tombs Launch ‘Savage Gold’ Beer With ‘Enormous Notes’ of Marijuana

Tombs 'Savage Gold' Beer + Coffee
Facebook: Tombs

There’s something about metal and beer that creates a beautiful union, and we’re not just talking about any kind of beer. Tombs have just released their own ‘Savage Gold’ IPA, which features “enormous notes” of white grape, green pepper, mango, and here’s the kicker… marijuana.

Metal musicians involved in the brewing industry are churning out artisan drinks worthy of critical praise from true craftsmen. For example, Municipal Waste‘s ‘Toxic Revolution’ holds a BeerAdvocate score of 90/100, while Pig Destroyer‘s ‘Permanent Funeral’ has been given a perfect 100/100 score.

Teaming up with Tired Hands Brewery in Ardmore, Pa., Tombs may be the next metal act to receive top honors with ‘Savage Gold':

The Savage Gold beer is an imminently refreshing and crushable IPA. Brewed with red wheat and oats. Hopped intensely and aggressively with Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc. Enormous notes of white grape, green pepper, mango, and marijuana. 5.2% abv. Tired Hands will be holding a special event around the launch of the beer this Friday, July 18th at their brewery in Ardmore complete with giveaways of the band’s new album Savage Gold. Info on the brewery is available HERE.

Now that you’re able to drink the night away with some brutal beer, Tombs also has you covered for the morning after. The band is also releasing a signature brand of coffee:

Frontman Mike Hill has launched a specialty coffee company, Savage Gold Coffee, inspired by his love for high quality, organic coffee. The first roast, Savage Gold Prime, is an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee bean grown between 6,000 and 6,500 feet above sea level. It is an aromatic and dynamic coffee roasted to perfection with a large flavor profile. It is sourced from a co op of Ethiopian farmers and is 100% Fair Trade, certified organic and wet (mechanically) processed.  More info on the coffee is available via the official Savage Gold website HERE.

Be sure to both begin and end your days right with ‘Savage Gold’ coffee and beer, respectively. To support their newest album, ‘Savage Gold,’ Tombs are set to tour North America with Pallbearer and Vattnet Viskar.
