Thrice are taking a break from recording their seventh studio album for a pair of exciting live performances. The band will play the Bamboozle festival as well as Hoodwink, the Bamboozle pre-show that boasts a tradition of bands playing other bands songs.

For their Hoodwink set on April 29th, Thrice will perform an all-covers set of '90s emo legends Hot Water Music. Thrice die-hards need not stress, however. The band will take the Bamboozle stage on Saturday, April 30th, to perform their own set of original favorites, along with a brand new song from their upcoming album.

"We've been off the road since last August, and have spent the past few months working really hard on a new record, so we're itching to play live again," said Thrice drummer Riley Breckenridge in a statement. "In our experience, Bamboozle has always been a good time, not only because we get to play in front of a ton of people, but because we get to reconnect with so many friends in bands that we've toured with over the years. We're really looking forward to it."

"With our Hoodwink set, we're paying homage to some very good friends of ours; [Hot Water Music], a band that took us under their wing when we were a young and impressionable band, and really showed us what being an honest, hard-working, passionate band is all about."

Dates:
