The Word Alive’s Luke Holland Channels Michael Jackson for ‘Thriller’ Drum Tribute Remix

Thanks to the age of YouTube, we've all seen drum tributes performed before. But you may be hard pressed to see someone going to the great lengths that The Word Alive's Luke Holland just did to provide something interesting for the Internet. The drummer has just served up a drum remix tribute to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and he's pulled out all the stops.

In the description below his video post, Holland writes, "In the spirit of Halloween, we decided to honor a true classic; Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. After a full facial-cast & 6 hours of makeup (all done by my audio engineer Cameron Mizell) this zombie-Luke sprung to life. We all had an incredible time creating this video, I hope you enjoy it. All video was shot & edited by Jeremy Tremp. Huge thank you to the folks at Meinl for making this production possible."

The detail is pretty amazing, with Holland sporting a red leather jacket with the black stripe much like Jackson's original jacket in the "Thriller" video and as stated, he's got a pretty top notch zombie look for the clip. Not to mention, he's studied and got the zombie walk pretty much down. For viewers, be sure to stick around until the end as Holland leaves a little something behind as a final sign off.

Kudos to Holland for this tribute and the timing is perfectly aligned with Halloween weekend. The Word Alive released their last album, Real, in 2014, featuring the songs "Play the Victim," "Never Forget," "Lighthouse" and "The Runaway."
