The Sword have booked a studio for their fifth album, and will begin recording in their hometown of Austin, Texas on March 16. The band has worked with several different producers over the years, and this time around will be teaming up with Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantasma).

The still-untitled album is scheduled to be released in late summer via Razor & Tie. It's the follow-up to 2012's 'Apocryphon', which was their highest charting album to date, landing at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 album chart in its debut week.

Before they enter the studio, The Sword will be playing a few shows in March. The mini-tour kicks off March 11 in New Orleans and wraps up March 14 in Oklahoma City. They'll also be playing Austin's Levitation 2015 festival on May 8.

The Sword already have their own branded beer and hot sauce, and have now expanded into the world of extreme sports. They have partnered with Subrosa for the creation of the 'Stormwitch' bike. Drummer Jimmy Vela is a longtime BMX rider. For all the details, go here.
