With a sound that shows a penchant for Deep Purple's soulful yet gritty guitar riffs and the bite of more modern acts like Queens of the Stone Age, The Quill are one of the leaders in the Swedish hard rock movement. The combo recently released 'Full Circle,' their fifth studio album since forming in the early '90s.

Today, Noisecreep is proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of 'Medicine,' the new video from The Quill's 'Full Circle' album.

Drummer Jolle Atlagic gives us the scoop on the making of the video:

"The video was shot in October during last season's very last competition at Tierp Arena in Sweden, Northern Europe's most acclaimed new raceway for drag racing. It was filmed live, in front of racers, personnel, firemen and of course, the thousands of wild drag racing fans on site.

"The idea to mate top fueled rock n' roll with testosterone-saturated drag racing is barely new, and we understood from the beginning that if we were to do this, it was absolutely vital to make the video stick out from the crowd. Now, with a very modest budget at hand, the solution for this was to avoid doing it "the easy way" and use TV footage as so many others have done it before.

"Instead the band was actually performing the song over and over, placed dead center in the middle of the action in the frantic starting pit. And wow... it as a loud experience both for the band and the crew! Just to stand so close to a fuming drag racer on idle is an experience in itself. To stand just feet away from two of those monsters gunning it flat out is an out-of-this-world type of thing.

"The objective was to catch those explosions of energy and transform it in the video. We think we succeeded. What do you think?"

Produced by Chris Laney [Randy Piper's Animal, Zan Clan], 'Full Circle' is out now via Metalville Records.
