The Devil Wears Prada has a new album coming out next week called 'With Roots Above & Branches Below.' Since they were in town playing two sold out nights in New York City, they killed some time at the Noisecreep office rocking some 'Guitar Hero,' talking hair metal bands, and giving advice on avoiding lawsuits.

"When we signed the contract our label had lawyers look into (our name) and everything and they said it was fine," said guitarist and vocalist Jeremy DePoyster on the bands lack of legal wrangling with book publishers. "I guess because it's in a different format. If it was another movie or another book or something like that we'd be in trouble."

Jeremy DePoyster on video games
Right now we have two xBoxes hooked up, like system linked. Front lounge and back lounge of the bus. We play Halo 1 and 2 like all day, everyday. We all have tags on it, and we kind of call each other our tags.

We toured with Underoath before this and we would play with them all the time. We would play 'Call of Duty 4' a lot. And we played 'Call of Duty 5' for a little bit, just like multi-player and stuff. We used to play 'Mario Kart' on Wii but we don't have a Wii with us anymore. I play a lot of Call of Duty when I'm at home, and Mario Kart with my girlfriend. (Bassist) Andy is playing this game 'Far Cry 2' right now that's pretty cool. It's like the Call of Duty engine, but it's in Africa.

On their headlining tour
It's been really good. Like every show on this tour has been sold out. It's our first real headliner and we didn't know what to expect. Two nights in New York and stuff like that is unreal for us. We've done a million support tours so you never can gauge like why kids are coming out. And then when it's your name on the top you're like, 'oh, they really are stoked for us.'

On shooting videos
It's kind of grueling. The last one we did wasn't as bad because we didn't have to play through the songs as much. But like when we did our last one, it's like you have to do like all your own shots because we do the whole band together. But then if there's a close up on you and somebody else is over here in the shot they have to be in the shot too. So its like, you have to do like all the full band shots like 50 times, and then your own shots like 20 times and then whatever other shots you're in.

Pretty glamorous, right?
Yea, very glamorous [laughter]. And they have to keep getting like your makeup fixed and stuff which, as a dude, is just not fun.

Favorite metal videos?
I always liked that one, (Def Leppard's) 'Pour Some Sugar on Me.' I like, (Guns N' Roses) 'Welcome to the Jungle,' and that Motley Crue one, 'Dr. Feelgood.' For some reason I like the glam metal, hair metal bands. My girlfriend loves that 'Rock of Love' show with Bret Michaels, so I'm always watching that. Not by choice.
