The Amity Affliction
is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland formed in 2002. Signed to Roadunner Records, the sextet specialize in a songwriting style that is one moment hyper-melodic and machete-sharp the next. After releasing two successful EPs and their debut album, 2008's 'Severed Ties,' the next couple of years touring and gaining a huge fanbase in their native Australia.

Last year The Amity Affliction travelled to the States to work on a new album with producer Machine (Protest the Hero, Lamb of God). 'Youngbloods,' the group's sophomore album, was just released by the group's new label, Roadrunner Records. 'Youngbloods' finds the group in fighting form, building on the melodious side of their sound while maintaining the bite that they've also built their reputation on.
