The Acacia Strain kicked off their co-headline run with Veil of Maya this past weekend, but things went horribly wrong. The band was involved in a serious van accident yesterday (Nov. 27), which forced them to leave the tour prematurely.

The accident took place while the band was driving between Lancaster, Calif., which is about 70 miles outside of Los Angeles, and Tucson, Arizona. While the photos of the wreckage are terrifying, with the white vehicle flipped over and on its back, wheels akimbo, and the members personal effects strewn about the highway, we're happy to report that no one was seriously injured. The band and its crew were treated for minor injuries but everyone is okay, thankfully.

The van, however, is in such bad condition that the band could not continue with the tour and had to return home.

The band posted a note on its Facebook page, providing some details about the incident.

"It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their co-headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious."

Frontman Vincent Bennett commented, as well:

"Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year."
