In the heavy metal universe, you would be hard-pressed to find a more talented band than Symfonia. Featuring vocalist André Matos (Angra), guitarist Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius), drummer Uli Kusch (ex-Helloween), keyboardist Mikko Härkin (Sonata Arctica), and bassist Jari Kainulainen (ex-Stratovarius), the term 'supergroup' is definitely applicable.

Symfonia's debut album, 'In Paradisum,' hits stores on April 19th. Today, Noisecreep is proud to bring you the premiere of 'Fields of Avalon,' the first track off of 'In Paradisum.'

Listen to 'Fields of Avalon'

From its opening charge of guitars and double-bass drum hits to Härkin's solo keyboard break, 'Fields of Avalon' never lets up. By the time Matos rips into the first line of the song, you're already tapping your feet to the track's pulsating beat. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, we think the song is destined to become a true classic in the power metal pantheon.

Long-time friends and fans of each other's work, the musicians finally found themselves all living in Scandinavia at the same time. The next logical step was to get together to write and record some material.

Produced by Tolkki, the album's 10 tracks contain elements of each member's previous work: glorious choruses, melodic keyboard parts, and Matos' arena-ready vocals. Noisecreep is eagerly awaiting tour info from this fantastic new supergroup.
