Chances are you haven't heard of Sydonia, though the heavily-aggressive rock act comes highly recommended, which includes being personally asked to open for Lamb of God. "The best of pop sensibilities is tempered at times with eloquent angst," LOG frontman Randy Blythe said when describing the Melbourne act. Now adding to that long list of approval -- which includes Slipknot and Machine Head -- Sydonia have been asked to open for Korn on their Australian tour on Dec. 3-5.

Sydonia are currently touring in support of the independently-released debut album 'Given to Destroyers,' but they're also hard at work on new material. The band has released the haunting single 'Ocean of Storms' as a preview.

The band is finishing up their sophomore effort, which includes a collaboration with Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga, as they seek a worldwide label home.

Sydonia have also been added to the famed Woodford Folk Festival in Australia.
