Avast ye, scallywags. New Jersey-based pirate-themed thrash outfit Swashbuckle have sent drummer Captain Crashride to Davy Jones' Locker and replaced him with Bootsmann Collins of We All Have Day Jobs.

"There's been a bit of a change in the 'Buckle rank as of late. We have recently parted ways with drummer Captain Crashride. He brought us five years of service and utter shenanigans, and we wish him nothing but the best in combating that extreme outbreak of scurvy," frontman Admiral Nobeard is quoted as saying; he did not offer an explanation for the lineup shift, however.

"With that being said, we now have a new drummer stepping up to fill the boots and more so to speak, and that man be none other than Bootsmann Collins. He's a f---ing killer drummer and quite the retarded pirate. So we couldn't be more stoked to have him aboard. So please give him a warm welcome with yar Internet s--- talk and utter disgust for everything piratical. We wouldn't have it any other way."

Swashbuckle, who released 'Back to the Noose' in 2009, recently entered the studio to start tracking their new album, 'Crime Always Pays.' The album will drop later this year.

According to the band, they're "crafting malicious metal jams with tales of piratical shenanigans. It's gonna be a heavy record, so expect to beat the s--- out of your siblings and parental units whilst ye get caught in a mosh ... let me assure you that it'll thrash your f---ing brains into your butthole."

The disc will reportedly include the tracks 'Raw-doggin' at the Rawbar,' 'A Time of Wooden Ships and Iron Men,' 'Where Victory is Penned' and 'You Bring the Cannons, We'll Bring the Balls.'
