The Philip Anselmo-fronted Superjoint (a rebranding of Superjoint Ritual) are poised for their comeback album. Caught Up in the Gears of Application is due out Nov. 11 through Anselmo's own Housecore Records. With "Sociopathic Herd Delusion" already out for consumption, the New Orleans outfit have served up another raucous track by way of "Ruin You," heard below.

"This song is an example of how a basic, rock-driven song can still be a powerful thing, in musical standards and lyrical content as well," the frontman told Decibel about the new single. The song bleeds a garage-rock aesthetic amidst concussive percussion with a Motorhead meets the Stooges vibe, wrapped around the band's swirling cacophony of dirt-caked heavy metal in a sub two-and-a-half minute blur.

Superjoint have set Nov. 12 as the official date for their record release show, which will take place at Gas Monkey Live! in Dallas, Texas. Rounding out the bill will be Tombs, Warbeast, Wolvhammer and Protest with tickets available here.

Pre-orders for Caught Up in the Gears of Application can be placed at the Housecore webstore or digitally through iTunes.

“The minute we started writing, I knew this record would be brutal. Sticking to our true hardcore roots and signature Superjoint sound, we accomplished a record that needed to happen in today’s underground. It’s pissed off," exclaimed guitarist Jimmy Bower, who also plays drums in Down alongside Anselmo.

The frontman offered his thoughts on the record, adding, “The overall theme means many things, or no things, but there is an underlying message regardless, about how modern technology — computers and all that comes with them, mainly — has affected our lives. As a musician, it has affected my life both negatively (music being stolen) and positively (being in touch with fellow musicians around the world and staying visible)," before opining how everyone now has a platform to voice their views.
