There's nothing more enthralling and thrilling for a band than embarking on their first tour, playing their music for fans and those who've never even heard of them. Struck by Lightning are stoked about the process, though. "We are practicing and preparing to head out on our first tour. It's a very exciting time," the band -- Travis, John, Gregory and Mike -- told Noisecreep collectively. "With the tour starting in Columbus, we head west, hitting the western half of the country with the last week supporting Pelican and Black Cobra." After the tour, Struck by Lightning plan on writing new material this winter and will continue touring in support of 'Serpents' heavily in spring and summer 2010.

As for what to expect from the new material, the band hinted that "it will be raw, aggressive and bursting with energy! Pretty much a continuation and progression of some of the last songs we wrote on 'Serpents,' but with our heads here and not there." One commonality that unites the members of Struck by Lightning is their shared "punk outlook on life."

The band further commented on a punk rock perspective, saying, "That's the way we've situated ourselves in this world. We work our asses off at full-time job,s just to be able to do this band to its fullest. This is what we want to do, and we are going to do it regardless of whatever bulls--- life throws at us. In our downtime, we eat mountains of glazed donuts and listen to Grief. Put some ice cream on it!" Talk about a punk outlook; SBL don't care about their waistlines, either!
