Festival season continues to heat up. There is a brand new event hitting Fort Myers, Fla. this September and it's one that Floridians won't want to miss. In fact, the Rockwave Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 21 at JetBlue Park, is the type of fest that anyone on the Eastern seaboard who is able and has the means should try and attend.

The event features the Chester Bennington-fronted Stone Temple Pilots, Jane's Addiction, Filter, Anberlin and Beware of Darkness, as well as a to-be-announced band, on the Monster Main Stage.

Pre-sale ticket options are here and fans would be wise to take advantage of the attractive discounts offered during this period, which runs from July 16 through July 18. Mark those calendars, rockers! You do not want to miss out on these deep discounts.

Regularly priced tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, July 19. The VIP package is pretty sweet, too. It includes a VIP entrance to venue; access to VIP lounge area featuring dedicated bar, beverage and food service; viewing of the main stage (seated and standing areas); seated area with shade for dining and private restroom facilities; and a VIP guest laminate. You can't beat that as a way to close out the summer festival season!

And here's an interesting tidbit for rockers that also love baseball. JetBlue Park is the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox.

[Editor's Note: Chevelle have now joined the lineup for the Rockwave Festival as well.]
