Mike Mushok, lead guitar player for Staind and recent addition to Newsted's lineup, has partnered with JamPlay, which is a website where professionals and members of top bands provide insight and lessons on how to learn guitar fundamentals.

Mushok will provide instructions on how to play a handful of Staind songs, including ‘It’s Been a While,’ ‘For You,’ ‘Right Here,’ ‘Mudshovel,’ and ‘Outside.’ The guitarist will also offer insight into how he writes songs and advice on guitar-playing techniques.

JamPlay offers lessons in both acoustic and electric genres. Sixty-eight teachers have video lessons to show members how to play guitar in a number of styles. JamPlay members also have access to eight hours a day of live streaming video group lessons. As part of the catalog, there are also video lessons from famous guitar players, such as Nick Catanese from Black Label Society, Emil Werstler from Chimaira, Glen Drover from Megadeth and Testament and even Flattus Maximus from GWAR.

“By collaborating with the artists who actually create the music, JamPlay is able to give our members access to a level of instruction never before available online,” said Kevin Wimer, who co-founded JamPlay. “We’re all huge fans of Mike’s work and musical legacy and are thrilled to be able to bring his talent to guitar students around the world.” To find out more about what's available, visit JamPlay.com
