The sad news came across late Wednesday afternoon (June 19) that actor James Gandolfini died of a possible heart attack while on vacation in Rome, Italy. The 51-year-old thespian was best known for his role as Tony Soprano on the hit HBO series 'The Sopranos.' As word spread, many in the entertainment community offered their thoughts on Gandolfini's passing, including a number of top rockers.

During his tenure on the show, Gandolfini won three Emmy awards. He recently appeared in the films 'Zero Dark Thirty,' 'Not Fade Away' and 'Killing Them Softly,' and his other credits included 'The Last Castle,' 'The Mexican' and 'True Romance.'
