Extreme metal producer Zach Ohren has a reputation for working fast and keeping his cool in the studio. But if you hire him to work on your album, just keep in mind that he might end up eating all your food.

"When we worked with him on our album 'The Furthest Reaches,' we would go to the same food court every day," Son of Aurelius guitarist Cary Gear explained to Noisecreep. "It had a bunch of really bomb Asian food, and they would give you a huge pile of whatever you ordered -- just a stupid amount of food. No one ever finished what they ordered, so Zack would finish our leftovers while he slaved away at the computer."

In the end, the band members considered their food donations part of the price of perfection. "Zack is really easy to work with," Gear said. "He tells you what he needs from you and all you want to do is give him what he needs to get the best recording possible. He never gets impatient or gives you an attitude. Things were great during the recording. It was an awesome experience."
