Sleeping With Sirens Singer Uses McDonalds Analogy to Help Explain the Variety on Their Current Tour

Chris Epting

The All Stars Tour has been barrel-housing across America most of the summer, pounding fans into submission with music from the likes of Emmure, Born of Osiris and Iwrestledabearonce.

But there are also a couple of bands that help cut the edge and Noisecreep caught up with one of them at the All Star stop in Anaheim, Calif. recently.

Sleeping With Sirens, originally from Florida but now based in Michigan, blends a post-hardcore sound with the impressive falsetto vocals of Kellin Quinn. He told Noisecreep, that for him, he likes the fact that his band stands out on the tour.

“If I go to McDonald’s, I don’t always get a double cheeseburger with pickles, mustard, mayo and ketchup. Every once in awhile I want a chicken burger of some McNuggets. That’s how it is on this tour. If you’re at a show with a lot of heavy bands and sounds, it’s cool to have a band that’s a little softer. It’s definitely a good way to stand out.”

Quine has also been impressed with how well he band’s new album, ‘Let’s Cheers to This’ is catching on. “I didn’t know what to expect,” he told Noisecreep. “But the fan reaction to the new music has been insane. I take a risk each night when I put the microphone out there for them to sing but every night they all know the words already, which is awesome.”
