Velvet Revolver Guitar hero Slash never even heard the guy coming. On June 10, in the middle of a show in Milan, Italy, Slash was playing 'Sweet Chile O' Mine" when a member of the crowd clambered onto the stage and was tackled by Slash's security guard. Unfortunately, the hit wasn't clean, and the crowd member bounced directly into Slash, knocking him to the ground (but, amazingly, it didn't knock off his top hat). Unhurt and and unfazed, Slash got back up and continued playing the song.

Both Slash and his wife have commented on the incident on the Web. On his Facebook page, Slash wrote, "What'd I say? Rowdy crowd for sure. But amazing! The guy who nailed me didn't take me down but he busted my poor [guitar]. Ah well, it was a kick-ass rock show in the first order!"

Slash's wife Petra was a bit less diplomatic: "The guy came down from the rafters, ran up to Slash and grabbed him during his 'Sweet Child O' Mine' solo. Broke the head on the guitar. [The security guard] Junior grabbed the a--hole, they both fell to the floor. Junior hit his head hard and the Milan security did nothing! Kicked him out but didn't arrest him. I love Italy! But f--- those security promoters for doing nothing! Slash could have seriously [hurt himself] and Junior did. It's not right! What [are] they there for? As decoration? It's not right."
