Sister Sin, ‘Outrage’ — Free Download

Sister Sin

Chicks rule. No one knows this inarguable truth more than Sister Sin vocalist Liv. The Swedish band just released ‘True Sound of the Underground,’ an album that unabashedly worships at the Motörhead altar, with a bit of a female bend.

“We started in 2003 and made a lot of stupid decisions, signed a deal with a label that was owned by some guy from Ace of Base and moved on to sign an even more useless deal with a non-English-speaking dude from Greece,” Liv told Noisecreep. “We are back on track, say five years later, and here we are!”

While a lot of dirty rock bands and death metal groups come barreling out of Sweden, there’s a simple theory as to why so much good hard rock is exported from Scandinavia. “Well, we used to have a functional system not long ago in Sweden where they appreciated culture and music and made it easier for bands to spend all your day in a rehearsing studio and be creative,” Liv said. “Thank you Republicans! Another factor could be that the weather basically sucks eight months a year, so there’s really nothing better to do than practice blast beats.”

Liv, whose favorite Motörhead song is ‘Run Around Man’ from 2008′s ‘Motörizer’ album, said we can expect the band to do a lot of touring in 2010. And she said, “We have another video coming out later on as well. Expect us getting Oprah rich and introducing a public ban on R&B music real soon.”

Being a chick in a rock band isn’t a problem for our gal Liv, either. “You have to work much harder to earn respect, but when you do, people remember you. So it’s both ways, good and bad,” she admitted about the gender predicament.

She also issued a bit of call to action, saying, “Look out for Sister Sin coming to your town soon! I promise you, you won’t be disappointed if you get your ass to the show. It’s gonna be hard, heavy and sweaty! And of course, support the scene and buy our new album, ‘True Sound of the Underground.’”
