1 million was the magic number for Silverstein. After their previous 4 studio albums collectively sold that amount of copies, the Canadian rockers made a huge change and left their longtime home of Victory Records for the folks at Hopeless Records. They also chose to work with a new producer in Jordan Valeriote after many years of Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Social Distortion).

The first work under this new union came out in December, when Silverstein released an EP called "Transitions.' The songs featured on the record found the quintet taking their melodic sensibilities to new heights while their metal-kissed guitars still cut through the more anthemic moments. Silverstein will be releasing 'Rescue' on April 26th, but here at Noisecreep HQ, we don't like making you wait. Today we present 'Dancing on My Grave,' a track off the Deluxe Edition of the album.

Listen to 'Dancing on My Grave'

Silverstein's Shane Told told Noisecreep about the inspiration behind 'Dancing on My Grave':

"I spend a lot of time in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan when I'm not on tour and one time while driving around I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a Lexus SUV. The sticker said "I Lift Detroit in Prayer". If you've been reading the news you know that the US economy is in shambles, and Detroit is one of the cities being hit the hardest.

There's a huge division with most of the wealthy people living outside of the city, with the city itself being very poor. It just amazed me that not only was all this person could do was pray for the city, but was also advertising it like they were making a huge contribution. The city needs people to help it in a lot of ways. It really struck a chord with me, being a city I really care about. This song is written from the perspective of the city."

'Rescue' finds Silverstein in fighting shape, with some of the most dynamic songs of their career. Vocalist Shane Told says, "We wrote a lot of these songs strictly by feel, not worrying about proper song structure, but over the years we've improved immensely in terms of songwriting and playing. We have so much live experience now, and we know what songs will come across better live, and that's reflected in our song writing too."

'Rescue' will be out April 26th via Hopeless Records. You can catch Silverstein co-headlining the 10th Anniversary Take Action Tour with Bayside along with support from Polar Bear Club, The Swellers, and Texas In July.
