San Antonio metallers Silence the Messenger are building up to the release of their new album 'Achilles,' and they've decided to share a new track from the album exclusively with Noisecreep. The group delivers the brutal new song 'Fury' for your listening pleasure.

Frontman Steven Tinnon told Noisecreep of the song, "We chose this song as the opener for the record because we feel like it really sets the tone for the rest of the album lyrically and instrumentally, and it helps open up the 'story' of 'Achilles' for what the rest of the album has to offer. It gives the listener a great idea of the new direction we've taken as a band, with a familiar taste of where we came from on our previous record."

Tinnon reaches deep for the guttural screams that populate this track, while drummer Fernando Lemus is off to the races keeping the beat on the song. Guitarists Paolo Galang and James Lyle offer some incendiary licks and bassist Jared Jobson completes the song by cutting through with some solid low end.

Simply put, Silence the Messenger bring the brutal with a capital B. Tinnon says, "We're not here to reinvent the wheel. We're here to play pissed off, heavy music that we love for as many people as we can, and have a great f---ing time doing it." And the band will do just that during their Oct. 18 record release show at San Antonio's rock club, the White Rabbit.
