With a day at sea under their belts, rockers woke up on ShipRocked's Day 2 docked near the Great Stirrup Cay island in the bright and sunny Bahamas. Shiprockers took a smaller boat to the island where they enjoyed white sandy beaches and clear waters as well as meet and greets with some of their favorite artists.

Black Stone Cherry, American Fangs, Aranda and Butcher Babies held their meet and greets on the beach at the Bacardi Beach Bar which served delicious alcohol beverages. On the beach was also a massive stage where Art of Dying rocked the crowd and Nonpoint performed for the second time. By the end of the afternoon, everyone returned to the boat to catch Papa Roach on the Deck Stage.

It’s a shame that Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti wasn’t set to play on the bigger stages with his own band but he ripped the Headbanger lounge to shreds. One of rock's most badass guitarists thrashed this intimate space and a handful of fans claimed their spots so early that they got to see the loudest soundcheck the Norwegian has seen.

One name on the tips of fans and bands' tongues was Wilson. The group's relentless energy left an imprint on those flocking to the Meliti Stage. During their performance one female cruise goer said they were so heavy that she could feel her filling in her tooth shaking.

Other performances from Day 2 included legendary band Living Colour, who performed on the outside Deck Stage. Newer outfits Crash Kings, Digital Summer and Scorpion Child also made their presence known with memorable performances on the smaller stage.

Speaking of memorable, one set everyone was looking forward to was Sevendust’s acoustic set. Right before ShipRocked began the band announced plans for an acoustic album and tour. This was the first time they were testing the waters with the new acoustic venture since their 2004 release of ‘Southside Double-Wide: Acoustic Live.’ The performance was emotional, dreamy and an invocation of so many emotions and feelings while still maintaining the power and command as they do in their electric set.

They kicked off the performance with ‘Trust’ and also offered acoustic renditions of ‘Black,’ ‘Crucified,’ ‘Xmas Day,’ ‘Got a Feeling,’ and ‘Denial.’ Guitarist Clint Lowery also started a weird acoustic rendition of ‘Crumble’ that wasn’t planned as well as a hilarious version of ‘Eye of the Tiger’ that did not go well but served its purpose comically.

Other non-planned surprises included special guest Nonpoint singer Elias Soriano joining them onstage to sing ‘Angel’s Son.’ Another big surprise for fans came at the end of the set as the acoustic guitars were unplugged and the stools were taken away. Frontman Lajon Witherspoon brought out Corey Glover and paid homage to the legendary Living Colour. All of Sevendust then came back to the stage for an electrifying performance of ‘Decay.’

At midnight everyone was at the Deck Stage as Love and Death rocked it out with a stellar performance. Not only did they play the infectious original tunes ‘Paralyzed,’  ‘Meltdown’ and ‘Whip It,’ but also a Korn medley of ‘Got the Life’ and ‘Freak on a Leash' just to name a few. Singer Brian ‘Head’ Welch proved to be an enthusiastic and funny showman even in the wee hours of the morning.
