Shinedown are giving their fans an impressive gift on May 3rd in the form of a live multi-disc CD/DVD set dubbed 'Somewhere in the Stratosphere,' a title supplied by a member of the Shinedown Nation fan community. The collection includes material that was recorded and filmed during the band's two very different headlining tours in 2010.

Some of the songs were recorded on the band's loud and electric Carnival of Madness festival trek, while others were plucked from the band's intimate, acoustic Anything & Everything tour, which was a bit like VH1 'Storytellers.' On the Anything & Everything tour, fans were allowed to ask the band questions between songs.

"The Carnival of Madness and Anything & Everything tours were some of the most intense and rewarding shows we've ever played," said Smith. "'Somewhere in the Stratosphere' allows us to relive those special times with all the fans that came out, and share the experience with those that we didn't get to see on the road."
