System of a Down Singer Partners With Rapper + More News

System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian lends his voice to St. Louis rapper Tech N9ne’s new album Something Else, which is due out on June 25.

“I had not heard of Tech N9ne when we were sent the track,” Serj admitted. “I checked out a bunch of his songs and really got into his flow, intensity and dynamics, and I agreed to sing on it. Originality in hip-hop and rock are hard to come by.”

Tech N9ne has worked with a wide range of artists in the past including Linkin Park, Yelawolf and Deftones. [Rolling Stone]
