It's been relatively quiet on the Seether front in recent months, but that's mainly because the band has put to rest their 'Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray' album and turned the focus to writing and record a follow-up album. Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart and John Humphrey have been back in the studio of late and they've just unveiled the first snippet of audio from their recording sessions via WhoSay.com to whet the appetites of their fans.

They may be hard-pressed to match the success of their last album as 'Country Song,' 'Tonight' and 'No Resolution' all topped the Active Rock charts, while 'Here and Now,' the album's fourth single, also enjoyed solid play at radio. But with that being said, the first piece of music heard in the player above shows plenty of promise.

The snippet begins with a moody guitar lick before Morgan belts, "It's safe to say I've had enough" and the song kicks in full-force. Solidifying the validity of the track, the band posted the comment, "New sh-- we're working on" along with the shot of the studio computer and board. A title was not revealed for the track, nor was there mention of when a new record might be complete.

However, it's safe to say that Seether still have some more studio time to put in. A look at the band's tour schedule shows one festival date this month, followed by a string of late August performances, signifying that they will be busy tucked away recording for a majority of the summer.
