Seasons After

"The jokes are endless," Seasons After bass player Michael Byers admits to Noiscreep. "'We're not in Kansas anymore.' 'How's Dorothy and Toto?'"

Seasons After are a modern rock outfit, creating sounds not necessarily standard for their hometown of Wichita, Kan.

Creating a mix of music somewhere between Killswitch Engage and Bullet for My Valentine, Seasons After just released its debut 'Through Tomorrow' via Dirtbag Music. Even if Wichita isn't as glamorous as Los Angeles or New York City, Byers says it made the most sense to stay put.

"It's not overall a bad place to call home. It's a little hard to get noticed, since we're right smack in the middle of the U.S., where everyone thinks you're raising cattle or farming wheat or something like that. A lot of us have families around or within a few hours of there. It's nice when you come off the road and just be around everybody. It's not the most exciting place on the planet, but from a touring standpoint, it works out well."

Seasons After are currently on tour through the end of December.
