Scott Ian Joins Megadeth On Stage — Video

After years of hopes and dreams of 'Big Four' of thrash getting together, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax have finally shared the stage together for what will end up being a total of seven shows for the Sonisphere Festivals. Many hoped this event would cause the bad blood between the bands to be put to rest -- which it might be, as an onstage jam did happen to the tune of the Diamond Head's 'Am I Evil?' Maybe the inspiration for such a moment all began with this first guest appearance.

During the June 18 show at Degenaupark in Wil/Jonschwil, Switzerland, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian joined Megadeth during the classic 'Peace Sells ... But Who's Buying?!' to add backing vocals.

A fan-shot video captures the heart-warming moment, where Ian -- as if overcome by the moment and the power of song -- runs up beside Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson to add to the chorus, but then quickly leaves the stage. After what seems to be a quick question and answer moment with a stage hand, Ian return to stage center to share the microphone with Dave Mustaine.
