A full 45 years since guitarist Rudolf Schenker first formed Scorpions in Hannover, Germany, the multi-platinum melodic metal sensations are about to launch the U.S. leg of their farewell run, the Get Out Your Sting and Blackout Tour. On June 18 in Holmdel, N.J., the band that rocked you like a hurricane through most of the '80s will sweep through North America like a tormado, sucking everything in its path into waves of lighter-raising, mullet-shaking glory. The storm will last until Aug. 21 in Chicago. Scorpions will be supporting their final album, 'Sting in the Tail,' which came out March 23.

To date, the Get Out Your Sting and Blackout Tour has been well-received in Germany, Switzerland and France, and Scorpions look forward to wielding their stingers in the U.S. "We are so incredibly happy about the fantastic feedback we have been receiving from around the world on 'Sting in the Tail,'" said vocalist Klaus Meine. "We can't wait to see our fans soon."

Opening various Scorpions' North American dates will be Vince Neil, Cinderella, Great White, Jackyl, Dokken, Ratt, Tesla and Michael Schenker.
