Music isn't the only way an artist can express himself. Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson is also a painter, and the guitarist will be auctioning off his paintings on eBay for the fifth year in a row and will donate the proceeds to The Kidney Foundation of Canada as part of the Brush of Hope project.

Lifeson isn't one of those self-indulgent musicians splashing paint on a canvas and calling it art; he is actually talented and has raised thousands of dollars for charity by selling his paintings in the past. So if you're a consummate prog rocker -- and if you love Rush as much as fanboys Paul Rudd and Jason Segel did in 'I Love You, Man' -- then check out Lifeson's paintings and get one for your living room wall.

Bidding for Alex Lifeson's paintings begins in October.
