The world is waking up to the tragic news that at least 50 people have been killed and more than 400 are injured after a gunman opened fire on a country music festival crowd. A number of musicians from the rock and metal world have taken to social media to offer their sympathies to those harmed by this senseless act.

A 64-year-old gunman named Stephen Paddock, who is now dead himself, fired rounds onto the concert crowd using multiple weapons from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay hotel. The bullets hailed upon the large crowd watching musician Jason Aldean perform.

Musicians who have offered their condolences include Duff McKagan, Corey Taylor and more:

We’d like to express our deep sadness for those who lost their lives in this attack and to every family member and friend affected. We also wish a full recovery for all those who have been injured.
