’80s Video Vixens: Where Are They Now? (GALLERY)
There are a few things de rigueur for ’80s metal videos: big hair, leather… and a hot girl (or three). Sometimes those video girls morphed into full-fledged vixens and became almost as famous as the bands they loved to hang out with backstage! Usually the girls remained nameless, pretty faces… but in a few cases, the video stars crossed over from popular culture to actual stardom. Today, Noisecreep looks back at a few of the biggest ’80s video vixens and tells you where they are now.
Bobbie Brown (Then)
Most famous for her appearance in Warrant‘s ‘Cherry Pie’ video, Brown was also in the clip for Great White‘s ‘Once Bitten, Twice Shy.’ She dumped Matthew Nelson of poodle-haired rockers Nelson in favor of Warrant frontman Jani Lane after filming the ‘Cherry Pie’ video.
Bobbie Brown (Now)
After her music video days and her marriage to Lane ended, Brown carried on, acting in many films and television shows including the popular sitcom ‘Married… With Children.’ Bobbie is currently working on a new reality show called ‘Ex-Wives Rock.’
Courteney Cox (Then)
Most people probably don’t think of Cox as a video vixen, but that’s exactly what she was way back in 1984 when she was featured in Bruce Springsteen‘s video for ‘Dancing in the Dark.’ In the clip, The Boss pulls Cox on stage to dance along with him to his hit single.
Courteney Cox (Now)
There’s no denying Cox used her video debut to catapult her to massive fame, including a starring role on ‘Friends’ and a recurring role in the extremely successful movie franchise ‘Scream.’ She currently stars in the TBS sitcom ‘Cougar Town.’
Paulina Porizkova (Then)
This supermodel is no stranger to the music video business. She met her husband Ric Ocasek, lead singer of The Cars, while filming the video for the band’s hit single ‘Drive’ in 1984.
Paulina Porizkova (Now)
Porizkova and Ocasek got married in 1989 and have two kids together. These days, she’s an actress, novelist and blogger for the Huffington Post.
Lillian Muller (Then)
Muller earned fame as the teacher in the 1984 Van Halen clip for ‘Hot for Teacher.’ Believe it or not, the actress was in her 30s when she strutted in a blue bikini as a chemistry teacher in the famous clip. To this day, she’s never seen the video. Muller also starred in the Rod Stewart clip for ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’
Lillian Muller (Now)
These days, Muller is still a model and also an author, motivational speaker and fitness buff.
Sharise Neil (Then)
The former mud wrestler turned heads in Mötley Crüe‘s 1987 video for ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’ She married Crüe frontman Vince Neil in 1988 and divorced from the rocker in 1993.
Sharise Neil (Now)
These days Neil appears alongside Bobbie Brown on the Canadian reality television show ‘Ex-Wives of Rock.’
Jeana Keough (Then)
A former Playboy centerfold, Keough appeared alongside Danièle Arnaud and fellow Playmate Kymberly Herrin, as one of the three Muses in the ZZ Top music videos ‘Legs,’ ‘Sharp Dressed Man,’ ‘Gimme all Your Loving,’ and ‘Sleeping Bag.’
Jeana Keough (Now)
Most recently, Keough starred as one of the original cast members of Bravo’s smash reality show ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County.’
Tawny Kitaen (Then)
Kitaen’s good looks and video acting helped skyrocket Whitesnake and their album of the same name to the top of the charts in 1987. Kitaen rolled around on singer David Coverdale’s Jaguar in the iconic video for ‘Here I Go Again,’ had a contentious relationship with the singer for the ‘Is This Love’ clip and was stalked in the video for ‘Still of the Night.’ Even after Whitesnake had moved on to promoting the album ‘Slip of the Tongue,’ Tawny was asked back to star in two more videos: ‘The Deeper the Love’ and ‘Fool For Your Loving.’
Tawny Kitaen (Now)
All of those Whitesnake videos led Kitaen to a very short marriage with Coverdale. After their divorce, Tawny picked up more acting roles. She also faced legal problems and went on ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew’ to fight an addiction to painkillers and cocaine.
