Rob Zombie released his latest solo album 'Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor' only a year ago, but that hasn't stopped him from already working on a follow-up.

The rocker tells Pulse of Radio (via Blabbermouth) that he and his band started the process in January, and will get back to work on it in May. "I don't want years and years to go by between records, even though somehow it always seems to happen," Zombie says.

He adds, "And, you know, we're really excited because we really felt that for ourselves as a band, the last record really kind of got back to something that I was looking for, and we were just excited to take it to the next level. When you're feeling inspired, you kind of want to go for it, because sometimes you don't feel inspired."

Zombie's 'The Zombie Horror Picture Show' DVD, Blu-ray and companion book will be released May 20. The disc was recorded on last summer's Mayhem Festival. Loudwire has teamed up with Zombie to give away an autographed copy of the DVD along with the companion ‘Zombie Horror Picture Show’ book. To enter, use the form below.

Zombie and company have some live dates coming up, beginning April 26 at the Fort Rock. They'll also be playing Carolina Rebellion and Welcome to Rockville along with headlining shows.
