Master of horror Rob Zombie is set to release his ninth film, 31, in January of 2016 at the Sundance Film Festival. There have been no specifics as to the screening date as of yet.

With projects like House of 1000 CorpsesThe Devil's RejectsThe Lords of Salem and more already under his filmmaking belt, Rob Zombie is sure to deliver once again with this demented and horrific story about to unfold on the silver screen. Adapting a "kill or be killed" mentality, 31 sees the kidnapping of five people before Halloween, dropping them off in Murder World where they must survive a 12-hour game to regain freedom. The game is called 31 and the victims must do whatever is necessary to endure half a day of violence and brutality, fighting off a gang of evil clowns in the game with no rules, just an objective of survival.

The film was written and directed by Rob Zombie and stars Malcolm McDowell, Elizabeth Daily, Meg Foster and more in addition to Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, who is ever-present in his films. 31 was successfully crowdfunded through two campaigns as well.

Rob Zombie has been busy in 2015, not only working on 31, but a new Rob Zombie album to follow-up 2013's Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor and a film about comedy legend Groucho Marx. For now, we'll take them as they come and look forward to the release of what sounds like a twisted and demented movie in 31.
