Rob Zombie has shared some news about his upcoming album, along with his plans to take a break from touring and progress on his new horror movie ’31.’ The iconic artist has spent the last 11 years balancing his work as a musician and as a director, helming such memorable films as ‘House of 1000 Corpses,’ ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ and reboot of ‘Halloween’ back in 2007.

In a recent interview with San Jose’s Mercury News, Zombie shared some exciting news about the follow-up to his fifth solo album ‘Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor.’ He said, “I really think this is the best record yet, truthfully. I don't know if everybody says that -- maybe they do. But I really feel that way.” He added that the record is "pretty much done," and that he hopes to have it out at the "beginning of next year.”

The singer added that fans should come check out his live show now because he plans to take a break from the road. “This will be our last tour for a while, actually. Because when this tour is done, I'm starting on a movie. It will be an awesome tour. The tours we have done in the last few years have been our best tours ever.”

Zombie said he is planning on beginning production on his new film ‘31’ in February. He gave some insight into the film’s plot sharing, “In the five days leading up to Halloween, five random people are kidnapped and are taken to a secluded location and forced to fight for their lives through the night of Halloween. And whoever survives by Nov. 1 is let free.”
