Rob Zombie Announces ‘Great American Nightmare’ Battle of the Bands

Good news for unsigned bands in Southern California or the general vicinity. The Slidebar, located in Fullerton over in Orange County, has teamed up with Rob Zombie and his 'Great American Nightmare' attraction. The bar will host the Rob Zombie's 'Great American Nightmare' Battle of the Bands showcase, which runs in September and October.

Bands that are unsigned will rock out or shut up as they vie for the chance to play the Monster Energy Main Stage one night during Rob Zombie's 'Great American Nightmare' event.

The 'Great American Nightmare' is a Halloween and music horror event that will be held every Thursday through Sunday from Oct. 10 through Nov. 2 at the FEARPlex in Pomona, nestled just outside of L.A. It's a total of15 nights of music that will wrap with a Zombie headline performance on Nov. 2.

The preliminaries are set for Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 25. Those culminate with four finalists, who will end up competing on Oct. 6. The winner will be announced on that date at the Slidebar.

To enter the competition, bands should email slidebarvenuebooking@yahoo.com by Sept. 13, 2013. Each entry should include: Band Name, Genre, Facebook Page, Twitter, Contact Name, and Contact Email.
